Local Involvement
The process of local involvement is an important benefit of GPA membership. Member participation in regional and national conferences held annually across the country provides a growing network of diverse grant professionals. The Indiana Chapter provides year-round opportunities for networking and professional development through meetings ranging from national presenters to meet the funder opportunities to roundtable discussions.
Our Indiana Chapter is growing. After its founding in 2007 with only nine members, the Indiana Chapter more than tripled in size over the following few years. We have over 80 members from across the state from many areas of the nonprofit sector, plus many grant consultants.

JOIN THE INDIANA CHAPTER BOARD
Board terms are two years, with the option of a second term of an additional two years. The board typically holds one-hour meetings before/after chapter events, in addition to a half-day retreat. Depending on the role, board members may spend 2-5 hours per month on GPA responsibilities. Benefits of board membership include building a strong network of colleagues, adding experience to your resume, and helping to shape the community of grant professionals. Board members may also have the opportunity to represent the chapter at the GPA Regional Leadership Conference and at the National Conference.
